Ascension

Representing the tenth key of the Chromatic scale is Ascension, the second part of the Infinity Suite.

Over time, a species, if left to develop for long enough, will discover more about their place in the universe. They will learn about planets, moons, stars, and the galaxies that contain them. Pretty soon, they will no longer be satisfied with observing the universe from behind a telescope, and will want to actually touch the stars. They will build rockets, shuttles, great machines that can help them fly out of the grip of their own world, and ascend into the universe.

T-15 seconds, guidance is internal. 12, 11, 10, 9 ... ignition sequence start ... 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 ... All engines running. Liftoff! We have a liftoff ... 32 minutes past the hour, liftoff on Apollo 11.
